The Can Panxo building has a privileged location on the first line in front of the beach of L'Escala. Former fishermen's refuge at the beginning of the 20th century, it was a tavern where food and wine were served to fishermen to restore their strength after a day of work at sea.In this property we have two different units for rent. It is an apartment for eight people and a penthouse that can accommodate up to 6 people.Below are the characteristics of each one.

Magnificent terrace with outdoor furniture and spectacular views of the Mediterranean and the Bay of Roses to enjoy its essence at any time of the day. One bedroom with a king size bed and toilet and one room with two bunk beds (4 single beds). A fully equipped bathroom and a large living room with an open kitchen. Fully equipped apartment on the seafront. This property has a very special location located on the seafront in the town of L'Escala.

L'Escala begins to appear in written texts from the 16th century onwards as a small fishing and coastal port dependent on the neighbouring town of Empúries. Its use as a port, however, is much more remote. Its name -from the Latin, 'Scala'-, which was very common throughout the Mediterranean area, designates a port or dock, a regular refuge for boats. The dependency of Empúries will be reversed during the 17th and 18th centuries to the benefit of L'Escala. In 1680 the residents of the "port of L'Escala of the town of Empúries" -who already formed a neighbourhood of 80 inhabitants- manage to have their own church, and in 1766 L'Escala becomes a town and head of municipality.
