THE LAND OF DALI
Cadaqués and Cap de Creus

Cadaqués is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful towns in Catalonia, the postcard that all the traveler has imagined some revenge of a white and traditional mariner town. Cobbled streets that descend from Capdamunt del Poble Cap to the sea, decorated with bougainvilleys and full of charming corners. From Cadaqués there is a road of eight km that leads from Cap to Cap de Creus. A place full of coves and cliffs with the constant presence of the Tramuntana. The seabeds of Cap de Creus are of great ecological wealth and a variety of marine ecosystems. In 1998 it is going to be declared a marine reserve. The old house of carabiners, together with the lighthouse, has a bohemian restaurant where you can enjoy a meal and contemplate the beauty of the sun room.

NATURE IN PURE STATE
Natural Reserve Aiguamolls de L'Empordà

This protected natural space that includes the mouth of the Fluvià River and part of the Gulf of Roses, some 4700 hectares, aims to conserve, improve and enhance natural, zoological and botanical systems. More than three hundred species of birds have been identified that make the wetlands their refuge and resting place. During the migratory periods from February to June and from July to October, thousands of birds use this place to rest and feed.

A TRIP TO THE PAST
Besalú

Besalú was declared a national historic site in 1966. Count with an important medieval site considered one of the best preserved in Catalonia. Its majestic Romanesque bridge that gives access to the town and is on seven arches and two towers stands out. Its good conservation is a great example of medieval architecture. Apart from its political and social influence, Besalú stands out for its Jewish community that knew how to coexist with the Christian community of the time.

A SURPRISING CAPITAL
Girona

The city of Girona enjoys an extraordinary capacity for attraction due to its privileged location, its rich history and its artistic and artisanal wealth. The city allows us to explore more than two thousand years of history and highlights the medieval area that was built between the 11th and 15th centuries, the old Carolingian wall of the medieval Baix, the Jewish quarter, in a magnificent state of conservation, the houses of the Onyar river, the cathedral and the Basilica of Sant Feliu.

THE LEGACY OF A GENIUS
Salvador Dalí Museum

The Salvador Dalí Theatre Museum was inaugurated in 1974 and built on the remains of the old municipal theatre of Figueres and is considered the genius's last great work. Everything in it was thought out and conceived to offer the visitor a great experience, a surrealist experience, transporting the visitor to a unique and captivating world. The lobby and the lounge were the only rooms preserved intact during the theatre fire, at the end of the Spanish Civil War. The theatre museum exhibits 1500 works of all kinds: paintings, sculptures, engravings, photographs.

THE ROMAN EMPIRE IN THE MEDITERRANEAN
The Ruins of Empúries

Two kilometers from L'Escala are the ruins of Empúries. The Greeks settled here at the beginning of the 6th century BC and later the Romans began the Romanization of the Iberian Peninsula. Currently, Greek and Roman remains coexist and a Hellenistic port in an excellent state of conservation. The museum and the ruins are open to the public all year round, but during the summer season the traveler will have the opportunity to enjoy many complementary activities that will make the visit a highly recommended activity.
